church administrator - 10 hrs (starting March 2019)

We are looking for an experienced administrator to join the team at Holy Trinity.
This role reports to the Churchwarden and is responsible for the general administration for the church, including:

  • Checking and responding to general emails and correspondence.

  • Handling all the occasional office administration for Banns, Baptisms etc

  • Keeping the church calendar of events & room bookings up to date & keeping the community informed via noticeboards, leaflets, website calendar and social media. This includes occasional preparation of the community newsletter (supporting the Saint Stephen’s administrator).

  • Managing room booking enquiries, issuing booking forms & terms and conditions, collecting payments and liaising with hall users including some opening & locking up.

  • Administration for Sunday Services, including preparing the weekly order of service, getting the worship songs ready on the AV system and uploading talks to the website.

  • Ordering supplies for the church (stationary, tea, coffee, communion etc) and organising regular servicing for the building (heating, bell etc)

  • Assisting Churchwarden and Parish Safeguarding Officer with church paperwork and records including transferring documents to our secure online system and archiving.

The hours of work are flexible but we would prefer these hours to be worked over 3 days, 1 of which could be from home.
